The police officials of Trinidad and Tobago arrested six male suspects under the offense of robbery at a car dealership the capital, Port of Spain. All the suspects were captured during their efforts to flee the crime scene after the unlawful act on Monday, 26 August.

The information and details of the arrest of six individuals as suspects and the robbery case in Port of Spain, Trinidad, were disclosed by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service officials. It is said that the bandits under the custody are of the age category between 18 to 33.

As per the Trinidad police report on the robbery case, the operation was executed in the Laventille settlement of Port of Spain. The officers from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) were part of the anti-crime mission led by intelligence.

It is mentioned that the operation was continued between the noted time of 01:30 pm to 07:15 pm on the day. Reportedly, quick action was taken by the dedicated officers after the police department received information about the crime at the premises of a car dealership.

The police registered a complaint about a group of men, who were armed with lethal weapons, entering into a dealership of motor cars in the community. A team of on-duty officers was formed immediately, which was then sent to the crime scene to handle the situation.

After arrival at the crime scene, the assigned police officers moved strategically and observed a group of men inside the car dealership on focus. The collected information was confirmed, and the lawmen’s party headed to stop the crime.

The bandits were present inside the compound and also in the vicinity of the car dealership. As the criminals observed the police coming, they alerted the group and started running in several directions around the crime scene.

The police officers, in response, also started running behind the suspected individuals, which resulted in a minor chase. The chase resulted in the successful apprehension of six male bandits in total. It is disclosed that the five suspects were from Picton Road, Laventille.

The sixth bandit of the Port of Spain robbery case was from Eastern Quarry in Laventille, Trinidad, who is mentioned as a 33-year-old man. The ages of the five male bandits from Picton Road are 18, 21, 23, 24, and 25.

The operation was executed under the leadership of Senior Superintendent Spence and was coordinated by Inspector Ag Steele, Sergeant Lucas, and Sergeant Ramsamooj. The Criminal Investigations Department will place the suspects on identification parades to find their connection in other cases.
