Corrections Policy

While keeping accuracy as top priority, Associates Times is committed to correct errors quickly, and transparently. It is aimed at building a trust with the readers, flourishing ethical journalism in the Caribbean.

1. Identifying Errors

As part of our policies, we review our published work on a regular basis with a proper attention on Internal fact-checking, Reader feedback, receiving updates from our sources and Independent verification by our editorial team.

2. How to Request a Correction

You can email us at contact@associatestimes.com if you believe, we've made an error: Please provide details with proper headline and link to the article, a clear description of the issue and supporting evidence or references.

As a committed news organization, Associates Times reviews all requests promptly and investigates them.

3. Types of Corrections

Minor Corrections: If there are small factual or typographical errors that don't affect the overall meaning, we correct them without any notice.

Significant Corrections: If the errors are affecting key facts, names, dates, quotes or context, then there will be a need for a correction note at the top or bottom of the article explaining the change.

Clarifications: In the cases of factual correct stories with a need for clarity, Associates Times update the text and add a clarification note.

4. Transparency

For significant corrections, we provide proper information on the changed content including date of the correction. We also avoid deleting the original article unless legally required.

5. Timeframe

Associates Times tries to correct the error within 24 hours whenever possible.

6. Archive Updates

The changes to the article are made to all platforms where the story is published even in the archives.

7. Responsibility

The editorial team of Associates Times is responsible for all the correction and the review of the article, aiming to keep the record straight.
