St Kitts and Nevis: The outreach programs for St Kitts and Nevis sailing are all set to resume through the participation of the school students. Through different events and activities, swimming and sailing will take place, aiming to enhance the ocean and marine life.
The program will feature new Swim and Sail Saturday classes for the children to do more fun during their leisure and free time. The registration for the classes has been opened and the invitation has been sent to the children to sign up for the events.
The classes and events will be held under the theme- “Bringing people together to Swim, Sail and learn about our Marine environment.”
Premier Mark Brantley shared the promo video on his social media and invited the children to be involved in the events which will contribute to develop the marine economy. He said,” Some truly amazing things are happening in Nevis. Please get your children involved and let’s help develop our marine economy.”
St Kitts Yacht Club announced the program and added that it will offer more than just swim and sail to the attendees, especially to the students. The team building exercises will take place where the participants will get freedom to explore the vast ocean and marine life.
The ways of enhancing the marine ecosystem and then developing the economy will be held during programs. The sailor experts will also be gathered to teach different techniques of sailing and swimming at exquisite beaches in Nevis.
The classes of the marine ecosystem through different sessions will be held during the outreach programs. Several beaches including Quaile, Pinney’s Beach, Yachtsman Grill and others will participate in the program where students will gather for the classes.
St Kitts Yacht Club will host classes through collaboration with Nevis Aquatic Centre, Nevis Island Administration, Dynamic Design Studio and Ministry of Marine Department.
Such sailing initiatives are being hosted in St Kitts and Nevis where children and their parents are invited to explore the rich natural heritage of the country. Earlier, the summer aquatic camp was hosted in the country where the students gathered to participate in the different activities of sailing, swimming and snorkeling.
Children between 5 and 12 of age have also participated in the camp through different events including swimming, sailing, playing beach games, balancing on paddleboards, and snorkeling.
Premier Mark Brantley expressed excitement about the upcoming outreach programs and noted that this will enhance the marine economy.
