As the LIAT (Leeward Islands Air Transport Services) 2020 comes onboard, it has announced its schedule for their inaugural flights in August.
According to the new and official schedule shared by the airlines, the flights are set to fly to 3 destinations including Antigua, Saint Lucia, and Barbados. The airlines as of now have shared the schedule for 19th and 21st August 2024.
The flight #301 will operate from V. C. Bird International Airport, Antigua to George F. L. Charles Airport, Saint Lucia. It is scheduled to depart from Antigua at 8:00 am and will arrive in Saint Lucia at 8:50 am.
The other flight is also named #301 and is set to travel from George F. L. Charles Airport, Saint Lucia from where it will depart from 9:35 am in order to reach the Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados at 10:15 am.
The return flights from Barbados to Saint Lucia and Saint Lucia to Antigua are categorised as #302. The flight from Barbados will depart at 2:00 pm to reach Saint Lucia at 2:40 pm. Whereas, the flight from Saint Lucia will take off at 3:25 pm and will land in Antigua at 4:15 pm.
This is to be noted that for now online ticket booking for flights is closed from LIAT’s official website as it is still undergoing maintenance. However, the airlines have provided alternative methods for booking including telephone or email booking of tickets.
According to the information, one can contact reservations@flyliat20.com or 268-712-LIAT for booking tickets for their next trip to these island nations with LIAT.
The all new LIAT 2020 has replaced its descendent LIAT 1947 and is Embraer 145 aircraft. This flight is capacitated to serve 50 passengers at a time and is set to expand its boundaries to more locations in the coming months including St Kitts, Sint Maarten, Grenada, and Dominica.
Notably, the LIAT 2020 airlines which got shut down early in January this year, has recently came into operation again as its inaugural flight landed Saint Lucia on 6th August 2024.
This achievement is a testament to Caribbean’s Aviation industry as the flight is set to hone the skies once again after its shutdown due to financial crisis.
LIAT, often known as the Caribbean’s proud has been running for half a century and its shutdown was a big disappointment, not just for its customers but the whole Caribbean.
The relaunch of the airlines will provide a robust connection between islands across the Caribbean providing flexibility to its customers.
