Finalist Caribbean Tigers faces first defeat in Max60 2024

The franchise based team Caribbean Tigers made they way into the finals of Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024. Just before the final stage the victorious team was defeated for the first time in the tournament by Boca Raton Trailblazers.
The Caribbean Tiger team under the leadership of George Munsey saw a winning streak for seven continuous matches out of 8 fixtures. The team maintained its spot on the peek of points table through out the league.
The wining venture was stopped by the David Warner led Boca Raton Trailblazers on the last day of the first stage of the tournament. The team was entirely seized in all departments by the opponents on Friday, 23 August.
The match was initiated by toss which resulted in the favor of Caribbean Tigers. Captain George Munsey decided to bat first with the plan of putting an unchaseable total on the scoreboard.

The decision by the captain seemed right before the start of the innings by keeping previous performance of the team. The team scored two highest and only total above 150 in the first edition of Max 60 Caribbean.
Anyhow, the Caribbean Tigers batsmen were able to gathered just 75 runs in dedicated 10 overs. The team lost 7 wickets in the process as no batsman was able to settle on the crease for long except Ashley Nurse.
Ashley Nurse faced 23 balls while playing at third dawn and scored 30 runs with help of 2 boundaries and 1 six. Other than Ashley, only captain Munsey was able to touch the double figure score, who made 18 runs in 10 balls as an opener.
The most successful player for the Caribbean Tigers in Max60 Cricket League 2024, Josh Brown, also faced an early dismissal. As the batsman started the inning, he lost his wicket on the very second ball of the match by Jack Jarvis.
In answer, the team of Boca Raton Trailblazers started the chase under the guidance of Captain David Warner and achieved the target in 8.2 overs. The opponents collected 76 runs with a loss of 3 wickets at the Jimmy Powell Oval Stadium.
The team of Caribbean Tigers dominated the points table and entire league stage of the Max 60 league in the Cayman Islands. Since the opening match they displayed their team strength and maintained through out.
The consecutive seven wins of the Caribbean Tigers came after beating:
New York Strikers by 25 runs in Match 1
Grand Cayman Jaguars by 65 runs in Match 3
Miami Lions by 38 runs in Match 6
Boca Raton Trailblazers by 2 wickets in Match 8
Miami Lions by 6 wickets in Match 10
Grand Cayman Jaguars by 48 runs in Match 12
New York Strikers by 6 wickets in Match 16
After being consistence throughout the league the Caribbean Tigers ended the phase with a defeat. The team being on the losing side in last match is also seen as a matter of relevant significance.
The loss of Caribbean Tigers displayed that they are not inevitable and could be defeated. The Tigers made their way directly into the final, while teams at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th position will play at Super Three stage to book their spot to face them.
There were two more matches on the last day of the Max60 Caribbean 2024 league stage. The matches were: New York Strikers versus Boca Raton Trailblazers, which tied, and Miami Lions versus Grand Cayman Jaguars, where Lions ended their venture in the league with a defeat
