Grenada: Anderson Peters is all set to represent Grenada once again at the Wanda Diamond League in Zurich which is going to feature a javelin throw event on 5th August.
Peters who ended up third at the Paris Olympics has ignited high hopes among the nationals for his win. He also won a gold medal recently in the Lausanne Diamond League with a massive throw of 90.61 meters and now he aims to another League for his success.
His win in the Lausanne Diamond League 2024 sets new records as it shattered the record of a previous athlete from Trinidad and Tobago named Keshorn Walcott.
The athlete has also won a gold medal in the World Athletics Continental tour at the Fribourg Track Lab in Switzerland. He made an 81.18 m throw setting new records to claim a medal for his nation.
Notably, Peters fought for this title while he was suffering from illness. In regard to this, he stated that it was difficult for him to perform with such illness but he triumphed with his dedication and hard work.
His exceptional performance in the sports sector of Grenada is being highly applauded by all and the Prime Minister of the island nation Dickon Mitchell extends his special greetings to him.
The Prime Minister in regard to his win stated that it is his commitment and dedication that ended him up so well globally.
Apart from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Youth, Sports of Grenada has also extended great wishes to the athlete for his future endeavors and coming sports league.
The 26-year-old athlete is breaking records across the globe with his tremendous victories to which he has been called out as a record-breaker athlete by the nationals.
