Apart from this, several other stakeholders in the tourism and trade sectors interested in marketing their products and services to Guyana will also be attending the 4-day long Tourism, Trade and Investment mission.

The scheduled meetings are expected to pave a path for new and broader trade agreements and joint ventures, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, trade and tourism.
The visit will also include a Taste of Grenada event, which will fully focus on promoting Grenada. These efforts by the governments of both nations are led prior to the launch of a direct flight route between Grenada and Guyana once weekly on Saturdays, starting on September 28, 2024, with InterCaribbean Airways.
The addition of this new flight route between both countries further anticipates to significantly benefit the nations with increased tourist arrivals and business transactions. This route will not just reduce the travel time but will help make more frequent visits and exchanges to the country.
PM Mitchell, during his absence from the country appointed Andy Williams, the minister of Mobilisation, implementation, and transformation as the acting prime minister.
This program indicates the government’s commitment to increasing interregional travel and takes a key step toward improving economic and social links between Guyana and Grenada as part of its efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.
