Jamaica: Shanoya Douglas from Jamaica won two medals including one Bronze and one Gold Medal at the U20 World Junior Championship in Lima, Peru. She has ended her season with historic victories and the eyes have been placed on her for the upcoming 2025 championships.
She won the bronze medal for Jamaica in the 100m by recording season best time of 43.39 seconds. She received huge appraisal for the audience in the country for recording several records on the global stage.
Douglas have further won her first-ever Gold in the 4x100m relay at the World U20 Champs with the season best time of 43.39s. She was one of the team of the four players including Allah Baker, Briana Campbell and Alana Reid.
She has dropped her 100m personal best from 12.05 to 11.28, 200m personal best from 24.23 to 22.59 and 400m personal best from 55.75 to 52.96. People lauded her for her expecptional performance and noted that she will represent Jamaica at several global stages.

Jamaica has completed its campaign at the championship with several exceptional performance as they took 4 gold medal, and one bronze medal to the home. The team ended up at fourth position in the standings of the U20 World Championship.
The team was standing behind the United States with eight gold medals, four silver and four bronze medals. The second position was secured by Ethiopia with six gold medals, two silver and 2 bronze medals.
The third position was secured China with four gold medal, four silver and three bronze medals at the World Championships. The tournament provided great exposure to the athletes with numerous events across the Jamaica as both men and women won Gold at 4x100m relay race.
