Saint Catherine police investigating death in fatal accident
Police department is investigating death of a motorcycle rider who lost life in a fatal collision with a truck.

Jamaica: The law enforcement department responsible in the parish of Saint Catherine is actively working on the case of a death caused by a fatal collision. The incident of a life-taking accident was recorded along the main road of Guy’s Hill on the evening of Sunday, 04 August, around 05:00 pm. The collision took place on the day between a motor truck and a motorcycle in which the rider was declared dead due to the injuries.
The involved rider of the motorcycle, whose death was registered in the case of a fatal accident in Saint Catherine, was identified by the investigation team of the police department. The dead victim of the fatal collision is mentioned in the police report as a 25-year-old man who is known by his official name, Garece Campbell. Garece Campbell is mentioned as a resident of a settlement in the Decoy district of Saint Mary Parish of Jamaica.
As per the available reports on the case of death by a fatal accident in Saint Catherine, the victim was riding his motorcycle along the Guy’s Hill main road on the day when the deadly act took place. The motor truck which was involved in the act was of Toyota range, which was travelling on the same route and coming from the opposite side of the road. It is said that the accident took place when the victim man lost his control over the vehicle.
At nearly 05:00 pm on the day, the fatal accident was recorded when the victim rider on his unbalanced motorcycle collided with the motor truck coming from the other end. The collision resulted in extensive damage to both involved vehicles, where the motorcycle was affected more. The impact was so extensive that the rider man got thrown away from his vehicle.
Reportedly, the victim suffered several severe injuries in the fatal act accident and was left bleeding from the wound at the spot. The police department was instantly contacted after the accident on which the on-duty police officers took charge and arrived at the location. The victim of the accident was taken to the Linstead Hospital for treatment in severely injured condition.
As the man was admitted to the hospital for medical help, he was examined by the doctor and was later reported dead officially as he was not able to overcome his injuries. The investigating team from the police department is actively investigating the case. The Guy’s Hill site of death in Saint Catherine was also seized for the proceedings. The officers are trying to find out the reason behind the accident that led to a death.
