Dominica is all set to host the 8th annual Breakfast Fete 2024 this weekend with the event already kicking off on Friday with a Lightning Parade.

This exciting event features a lot of fun with live entertainment, dance, music and much more, giving the visitors something to remember for a long time.

Every year, the event attracts a massive crowd from across the island and from neighbouring nations as well, making the Breakfast Fete the event of the year. This time the festival is being held from August 9 to 12, 2024.

The event began yesterday with a parade which was held from 7 pm to 1 am at Lalay Grandbay and featured DJ Shil and DJ Drixx.

The main event, named the 8th Annual Summer Daybreak Breakfast Fete, will take place today from 1 am to 11 am. People can enjoy entertainment by King Dice from 1 am onwards while they will also be treated to drinks and breakfast.

The fete will continue tomorrow from 7 pm to 2 am with a Dancehall Meets Soca event. The visitors will attend tomorrow’s event at the Backstreet Lime Bar.

The Ministry of Tourism of Dominica also took to Facebook to invite the locals to this most awaited annual festival. It said, “It’s Breakfast Fete Weekend in Dominica! And This Year, We’re Painting Grandbay PINK! Remember, Breakfast Fete is not a Show; It’s A PARTY! Come out, have fun, stay safe, enjoy every moment, and Come Back to Dominica for the World Creole Music Festival – October 25 to 27, 2024.”

Meanwhile, on Monday, the visitors can get the chance to experience the highly anticipated Breakfast Fete Island Tour Wet Fete at Laley, featuring live performances and entertainment. This tour will take place from 9 am to 7 pm and will continue till 11 pm, marking an exciting end to the Breakfast Fete.

According to the information, the entry to this event is priced at $150 per person which will include several cocktails and mocktails. This year, the theme for the wet fete is ‘Painting Grandbay Pinik.’

The organisers called upon everyone to dress up in pink top, pink crocs, pink bathing suit, pink hat, pink hats and everything mixed and matched with this colour.

Notably, the tickets for the event have already been sold out, showcasing people’s love for this annual fete. This four-day event is to give visitors a taste of what the Dominica World Creole Music Festival will hold, which takes place in the Nature Isle every year in October and is regarded as the best musical festival in the Caribbean region.
