Josh Brown again gave a banger performance at the Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024 while playing for the Caribbean Tigers team. The batsman showed up in the team’s six matches till the fourth day of the tournament on Wednesday, 21 August.
The Caribbean Tigers team hit the ground two times on the day to continue their venture in the ten-overs format league in the Cayman Islands. Till now, the team played six matches in total out of eight fixtures in which they stayed undefeated.
Josh Brown is an Australian cricketer and shares his position on the Caribbean Tigers as an opening batsman. The player remained part of the playing eleven every time the franchise came to face the opponents.
The 30-year-old cricketer scored his second half-century in the Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024. He achieved the honor of scoring two 50s in the first season of the league in the Caribbean Tigers versus Grand Cayman Jaguars match.
On Wednesday, Josh Brown represented the team on the ground in the 10th and 12th matches of the fixture. The Caribbean Tigers team played the first match of the day against Miami Lions and the second match against Grand Cayman Jaguars.
Under the captaincy of George Munsey, the Caribbean Tigers won both matches and maintained their spot on the peek of the points table. In the match against Miami Lions, Josh Brown opened the inning and scored quick 26 runs at the strike rate of 216.7.
The Australian cricketer played 12 balls, out of which three were sent flying over the boundary for sixes. The scores came while chasing the target of 71, which was achieved by the Caribbean Tigers in 8.1 overs after losing four wickets.
The team of Miami Lions, lost 6 wickets while facing the bowlers of the Caribbean Tigers. The losing team was just able to put 70 runs on the scoreboard after the end of 10 overs. The big performance of the day came by Josh Brown in the next match.
In Match-12, the Grand Cayman Jaguars team came to face the undefeated Caribbean Tigers and welcomed them to bat first after winning the toss. Josh Brown again came to the front to open the inning for the Tigers and made the day of his own.
The player in his initial thirties faced 21 balls and collected 52 runs for the team. He played at the strike rate of 247.6 and delivered 8 balls out of the boundary, out of which 6 were sixes. Captain George Munsey also looted the opportunity on the other end and scored a 50.
George Munsey played just 19 balls to get to his half-century, with 2 fours and 6 sixes at the strike rate of 263.2. This partnership between both openers collected 110 runs and got broken with the fall of Munsey’s wicket.
The captain departed to the pavilion on the third ball of the seventh over. Josh Brown also left the pitch just after two balls.
The first inning ended with a score of 150, and the match ended with a difference of 48 runs on the board. The Caribbean Tigers are the only team to touch this mark.
In this season of the Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League, Caribbean Tigers two times scored a total of 150+, which are also the two highest scores of the league. The first time a total of 150+ was achieved, it was also against the same team, the Grand Cayman Jaguars.
In Match 3, the Caribbean Tigers scored 153 runs and won the game with a difference of 65 runs. In that match, Josh Brown also hit a half-century. His score was 56 runs for 23 balls when he hit 5 sixes and 3 fours at a strike rate of 243.5.

On the same day, two more matches of the T-10 league took place in which New York Strikers faced Boca Raton Trailblazers and Miami Lions in their two fixtures. New York Strikers won against Boca Raton Trailblazers by 12 runs while facing a defeat of 57 runs from Miami Lions.
