Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League begins its inaugural season
The tournament was inaugurated for the first time and managed by the Cayman Islands Cricket Board.

The Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League was officially launched on Sunday, 18 August. The inaugural tournament is being managed by the Cayman Islands Cricket Board.
The tournament is being hosted in the Cayman Islands and introducing many big names in international cricket, such as Dwayne Bravo, David Warner, Thisara Perera, Brandon McMullen, and more. The T10 League is based on the short format of cricket now played in the world at an unofficial level.
The games under the T10 format contain just 10 overs for each side and the entire match of 20 overs in total. This format of cricket is not accepted at the authorized level by ICC but still comes up as a popular choice in many regional and unofficial international tournaments.
Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League was inaugurated with three matches on the weekend day. The matches were hosted in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. The Jimmy Powell Oval stadium was prepared by the officials to host the matches for Season 1.
Season 1 of Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League is joined by five franchise-based teams New York Strikers, Caribbean Tigers, Miami Lions, Boca Raton Trailblazers, and Grand Cayman Jaguars. All the teams started their venture in the league by presenting the challenge in three scheduled matches.
The team of Caribbean Tigers played two matches on the day, while the other four teams played one match each. The league was initiated by the teams of New York Strikers vs Caribbean Tigers who played the first match of the league.
The playing eleven for both teams were:

Caribbean Tigers: George Munsey(c)(wk), Kobe Herft, Josh Brown, Cameron Hemp, Nick Hobson, Ashley Nurse, Michael Leask, Andrew Tye, Patrick Dooley, Suranga Lakmal, Romeo Dunka, Brad Currie
The New York Strikers team, under the captaincy of Thisara Perera, won the toss and decided to invite the Caribbean Tigers team to bat first. In the first 10 overs of the match and the league, the Caribbean Tigers managed to put a score of 101 on the board for a loss of 8 wickets.
Cameron Hemp was the highest scorer of the inning, who collected 24 runs in just 10 balls with the help of 4 boundaries and 1 six at the strike rate of 240. Mitchell Owen took the most wickets for New York Strikers in the inning, which was 3, after giving 18 runs in 2 overs.
The team of New York Strikers came on the ground to chase the target of 102 runs in 10 overs but managed to score just 76 runs. The team lost 7 wickets, out of which 3 were taken by Andrew Tye after giving 21 runs in 2 overs.
Colin Munro faced the bowlers of the Caribbean Tigers and scored 38 runs in 25 balls with 4 boundaries and 1 six, remaining not out. No other batsman was able to support Colin Munro. At last, Isuru Udana scored a quick 13 runs in 4 balls with the help of 2 sixes.
After the Caribbean Tigers team collected 2 winning points in the match, fans were ready to witness another match. The second match of the day and Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League was scheduled between Miami Lions and Boca Raton Trailblazers on the same ground of George Town.

In the Match 2 of the league, the toss was won by the captain of Boca Raton Trailblazers, David Warner. David Warner decided to bat first and put some scores on the board to chase for the Miami Lions team. The decision to bat first worked for the team, and the Boca Raton Trailblazers scored 119 runs for a loss of 4 in 10 overs.
Beau Webster, who opened the inning with the captain David Warner, proved to be an absolute show on the day. Beau Webster scored 82 runs in the inning, facing 36 balls. He collected 6 fours and 6 sixes while batting with a strike rate of 227.8.
With a score of 82 runs, Beau Webster became the first player to score a 50 in the Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League. The Miami Lions team came to chase the huge target of 120 but fell short of 23 runs. The Miami Lions batsmen scored 96 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs.
The third and last match of the day was scheduled between the Caribbean Tigers and Grand Cayman Jaguars. This was the second match of the day for the Caribbean Tigers team. After the victory of the first match, the Caribbean Tigers decided to bat first again after winning the toss in Match 3.

The Caribbean Tigers team came with the same players on the ground as in the first match. The batsmen scored a grand total of 153 runs after losing 4 wickets in 10 overs. The two major performances of the inning were by Josh Brown and Nick Hobson.
Josh Brown opened the innigs for the Caribbean Tigers team and scored 56 runs in 23 balls with help of 3 boundries and 5 sixes at strick rate of 243.5. On other hand, Nick Hobson came at third dawn and scored 40 runs in just 12 balls. He hit the ball 4 times for boundry and 3 times for six in the crowd with strike rate of 333.3.
Logan van Beek, as bowler of Grand Cayman Jaguars, had a bad day on the ground as he gave 60 runs without any wickets in his two overs. The batsmen of Grand Cayman Jaguars came to chase the highest total of Max60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League and scored 88 runs with the loss of 8 wickets.
After playing 10 overs in the second inning, Grand Cayman Jaguars fall short by 65 runs. Six bowlers bowled for the Caribbean Tigers team, and each added wickets in front of their names. The teams will continue to present challenges for the next few days. The top three teams will make their space in the next round.
