Guyana’s Shequana Holder wins Miss Caribbean Culture Queen crown

Miss Guyana Culture Queen Shequana Holder was crowned Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant 2024 earlier today.

She secured a total of 1883 points to win this exciting pageant and made this the second consecutive year for a Guyanese contestant to win the crown.

Apart from winning the crown, she also copped the Best Interview, Best Talent, Best Evening Gown, and Best Question & Answer Awards.

The newly crowned queen won the prestigious pageant on her 21st birthday, making it a special day for herself.

The winner was followed by Dominique Trotman from Antigua and Barbuda and Kyanna Dyer from Dominica who secured the 1st runner up and 2nd runner up with 1799 and 1761 points respectively.

The pageant featured a total of 11 queens from across the Caribbean who competed in various segments including swimwear, evening wear, question and answer and several others.

The contestants who competed in the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant are as follows:

3. Nykeisha Henry – Nevis
4. Shequana Holder – Guyana
5. Desnarine Hanley – St Kitts
6. Tunisia President – Saint Lucia
7. Dominique Trotman – Antigua and Barbuda
8. Jackeedah Bryan – Anguilla
9. Kyana Dyer – Dominica
10. Valentchina Dantes – Haiti
11. Tineka Francois – Trinidad and Tobago

Following this huge victory, the organizers of the Miss Guyana Culture Queen took to Facebook to congratulate the newly crowned queen and said, “As the celebrations continue, there’s an obvious sense of a new dawn for Guyanese in pageantry.”

They also mentioned last year’s winner, Shermina Peroune, and said, “The victories of Shequana Holder and Shemina Peroune have set a new standard and paved the way for future queens.”

It further added that the journey had been quite difficult from never having won the title to achieving consecutive victories is a story of dreams, determination, and destiny.

“So, let the celebrations roll on. Let the drums of joy beat louder. Guyana, you’ve made history, and the world is watching,” they outlined.

Meanwhile, the social media also erupted with congratulatory messages with several people taking to Facebook and congratulating the new queen and wishing her happy birthday.

A user named Joshua Edward noted, “Your new Miss Caribbean Culture Queen is no other than our very own Shequana Holder! May your birthday be a celebration of your remarkable reign and the legacy you leave behind.”
