Mia Mottley extended her prayers to Sada Williams who enters semi-finals at the Paris Olympics 2024 in Women’s 400m category

Barbados: The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley extended her prayers to Sada Williams who has recently qualified the first heat and enters semi-finals at the Paris Olympics 2024 in Women’s 400m category. The PM shared a good luck to the athlete on her twitter account.
The PM in her recent post stated the run by Williams a solid effort while noting “Yes! Solid run from Sada to qualify for the semis of the Women’s 400M! We go again!”.
In a previous post on Sunday, PM Mottley extended her prayers to the player to qualify and conquer the heats at Olympics to reach the semi-finals.
“We lift Sada Williams up in prayers and love as she prepares to run tomorrow morning in the first heats for the 400 Metres at Olympics” PM Mottley noted.
Sada Williams, who is a Barbadian athlete is also a first time Barbadian women ever to win a medal at World Athletics Championship held in 2022. She primarily plays in the 200 and 400m categories in which she has grabbed a gold at the commonwealth games in 2022.
Reportedly, PM Mottley also congratulated the sister islands on their historic win at Olympics in her twitter post. She congratulated them while highlighting that the Caribbean Olympic success has left the people across the Caribbean in tears full of joy. The PM Mottley also emphasized “Caribbean may be small in size but our impact shakes the world!” she noted this in light of the Olympic success of the region.
Notably, this year’s Olympics was a huge success for Dominica and Saint Lucia as the countries welcomed their first gold medals home. Not Just this, Jamaican and Grenadian athletes also were also able to grab silver and bronze medals in respective games elating the countries with proud.
As the Paris Olympics are currently going on, athletes from the region are expected to bring home more medals among different games as the event is yet to conduct various sports. The Paris Olympic are scheduled to take place till 11th August 2024.
