Police probing murder case of Marabella

Trinidad and Tobago: The twin-island nation of the Caribbean recorded one more murder case in which one male victim lost his life in a fatal shooting attack in the locality of Marabella. The fatal attack also involved one more individual in the act who was left inured with the wounds of the gunshots. The targeted open firing against the two victims was observed during the night time on Thursday, 01 August, around 09:20 pm.

The victims of the lethal shooting incident were identified by the law protection authority and were mentioned in the police report. The deceased individual who was found dead in the murder case of Marabella is described as a 31-year-old man, who was known by his official name Welder Daniel Taylor. Welder Daniel Taylor is mentioned as a local resident who lived at Battoo Avenue along Jack Street in the town of Trinidad.

The police report also mentioned the other victim of the fatal act who suffered multiple injuries during the murder of Welder Daniel Taylor. The victim is a teenager who is disclosed to be an 18-year-old man, known by his name in the documents as Elijah Halls. Elijah Halls is also a local resident of the area who is now under the community, who was admitted for medical treatment.

As per the available information on the murder case of Marabella, both victims of the fatal shooting were out in the locality when they were approached by the armed assailants. While both men were a few distances away from their houses in the area where they lived, the unknown assailants allegedly ambushed the victims. The shooting was launched by the armed culprits against the two men, who both suffered multiple wounds from gunshots.

It is mentioned that the act of murder in the fatal shooting was noted by the local people of the neighbourhood in Marabella. The people living in the locality discovered the crime at night time when the area echoed with the sound of gun explosions. The time was recorded at nearly 09:20 pm when the residents came out of the houses to check the situation outside.

Reportedly, after looking around the place, the local people found the victims of the shooting who were lying down on the ground. Both men were identified by the residents of the settlement, after which the police authority was contacted, and the officers were notified about the lethal act in the locality of their responsibility.

After receiving the information of the shooting of two men, the on-duty Marabella police unit officers from the Southern Division acted and arrived at the place. The responding officers, including Inspector Maharaj, W-Sgt Langley, and WPC Warner, along with other officers, took charge of the case. The crime scene was seized, and further steps were taken by the active team of police.

At the crime scene, the two victims were spotted on the ground by the police officers, and both were covered with blood. The murder victim of Marabella, Welder Daniel Taylor, was declared dead after the examination, while the teenager was admitted to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment. The murder case was registered by the police department and the investigation in the case is process.
