“I am mentally, psychologically and physically much better than my ailment,” says PM Drew

St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew assured the citizens that his health is currently in normal condition as he is mentally, psychologically and also physically much better than before. Through his video message, he addressed the public of St. Kitts and Nevis for extending gratitude for all the prayers and said that the government is also doing a great job in his absence.

“I thank God over and over for His many, many blessings and prayers from all those who have been praying for me. This administration is a mature and serious administration,” said the prime minister.

PM Drew said that his general has been extremely good, including his blood sugar, cholesterol and physical strength. He extended greeting for the prayers, support of the people of St. Kitts and Nevis continue to lead and support and to create the best country that they can create for all of them.

He said that when he was at the JNF Hospital, he met with the cabinet, explained plans and responsibilities to and has since been monitoring their progress, adding, “They are doing a very good job.”

PM Drew said that he had to suddenly leave the country for emergency medical care due to the stroke, but now in peace and satisfactory condition as the work in the country has been progressing smoothly. He said that the government has been functioning nicely due to a well planned approach of the cabinet from day one.

Prime Minister Dr Drew stressed that the government will always put people first as they continue to plan for rainy days and sunny days as whatever the scenario, they are ready to deal with it as a “mature administration.”

He extended his appreciation for JNF for their excellent job in making sure that the first gold hour, that he was well taken care of and was in a position to be able to travel.

“So that when I travel, I will be in good step to receive what other additional treatment I would need. So once again, I'm very, very proud and thankful to the staff at JNF. I want to thank everyone who continued my care, and I want to thank them very much.”

He further lauded Acting Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley for making sure the Cabinet continues to function, for making sure that the government continues. PM Drew added that the government will continue to remain stable and deliver to the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
