As St Kitts and Nevis is gearing up for its 41st Independence Day, the government headquarters are adorned with beautiful portraits of the national heroes.

The appealing portraits are the work of Vaughn Anslyn and are arranged at the government headquarters uniquely coordinated with the nation’s flag. This setting truly lights up the patriotism among the residents and ignites a sense of pride among them.

There are a total of 5 portraits showcased at the official building and these represent Kennedy A. Simmonds, J.N. France, Robert Bradshaw, Dr. Sir Simeon Dani, and Caleb Azariah Paul Southwell. Simmonds, known as the father of Independence is the only living national hero.

The portraits were notably rearranged through public feedback which marked Simmonds in the centre of the building.

Independence Day this year will be celebrated over the theme ‘Together, A People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41’ and will focus on highlighting unity and harmony among all.
