Clarendon forex trader charged in shooting case

Clarendon police department charged a forex trader for the offence of shooting on a man whom he owed money.

Jamaica: The law protection authority of the island nation was working on a shooting case in the region of Clarendon, where they held a forex trader for the offence. The male suspect who is accused of open firing on a man is now charged by the police department for his committed offence. The information was disclosed by the authority in recent reports on the case where the victim was mentioned as safe and secure.

The accused man of the shooting in Clarendon is identified by the police authority and mentioned in reports as a forex trader in his field of occupation. The age of the accused man is disclosed to be around twenty years, and his name in the official documents is quoted as Cameron Charlton. Cameron Charlton is a local resident of the parish, who lives in the locality of Havannah Heights in Jamaica.

As per the available information of the case of shooting by a forex trader in Clarendon, the lethal act of crime took place against the victim when he approached the suspect on the day. The criminal act was recorded in the region in the last of previous months, that is, on Monday, 29 July. The reason behind the victim visiting the suspect is said to be the money that Cameron Charlton owed.

It is mentioned that on the day, a confrontation took place between both the involved parties, which was ignited after the victim asked for his money. As the dispute between both men went forward, the suspect lost his temper and allegedly brandished a handgun, which he used against the victim man to attack him. The police stated that the time was recorded around 04:50 pm when the incident took place.

Reportedly, straight after getting armed with a handgun, the suspect forex trader headed toward the victim and started firing in his direction. It is said that multiple shots were fired by the accused man in the day with the intention to harm the victim. Anyhow, the victim observed the lethal attack targeted at him, after which he started making efforts to save himself.

Subsequently, the man moved from the open space and took shelter of his motor vehicle, which he used as a shield to defend himself from the bullets being fired at him. Straight after, the victim started the motor case and successfully escaped from the site without suffering any injuries. Immediately, the victim made his way to the police station and filed a complaint against Cameron Charlton for shooting him.

The police unit active in the region of Clarendon took charge against the accused forex trader after getting a complaint of the lethal shooting by him. The suspect was arrested for crime and eventually charged in the presence of his attorney. The accused faced the charges of possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, using a firearm to commit a felony, unlawful wounding, wounding with intent, and malicious destruction of property.
