Barbados announces team for CFU Boys’ U-14 Challenge Series

The Barbados team of U-14 boys arrived in Trinidad and Tobago to represent the nation in the multi-country football tournament organized by the Caribbean Football Union.
The details of the participation team and management staff in CFU Boys’ U-14 Challenge Series are shared officially by the Football Association of the island nation on Thursday, 15 August.
Barbados Football Association shared information on the scheduled venture of the young team in the series. The football challenges will continue from 16 August to 25 August, during which the team of Barbados will hit the field from the very first day.
Fitzgerald Carter, the head coach of the U-14 boys team, mentioned in his words that the series plays a crucial role in promoting talent and developing football. He stated that tournaments like this help grow young players by introducing them to international competitions at an early age.
Head coach Fitzgerald Carter also manages the responsibilities of Talent Coach and Project Officer of the BFA Talent Development Scheme. The Barbados Football Association disclosed the names of the players, who are going to represent the national U-14 team in the football series.
The 20 players who are going to play for Barbados U-14 boys team are Trey Barker, Tyrique Collymore, Tye Gittens, Denari Griffith, Jemarco Johnson, Dimiko Jordan, Adam King, Shaquan King, Javier Marshall, Maleek Peters, Sasha Pounder, Raezario Roach, Rajari Rollins, Amari Small, Jazorie Thompson, Xavier Thorne, Jevonte Ward, Tye Waterman, Israel Watson, and Jamari Watson.
The names of the staff in the management team are also disclosed in which, Fitzgerald Carter will play the role of the Head Coach, and Morrison Taylor will look over the responsibility of Assistant Coach. Dale Rudder will be the Manager of the team, Patrick Mapp will be the Equipment Manager, and Khadijah Williams is selected as the Physiotherapist.
Morrison Taylor will also play the role of Goalkeeping Coach for the young team in the CFU Boys’ U-14 Challenge Series. Randy Harris, the President of the Barbados Football Association, also expressed his sentiment in relation to the sport. He talked about the efforts of the authorities and their commitment to developing the game of football in the nation from the youth level.
President Harris continued and quoted, “The young players are the future of Barbados football. We are focused on providing development opportunities to players such as these (tournaments). This will ensure that we are building a framework for football that is sustainable as we continue to strive for excellence within all the facets at national and local levels.”
The tournament by CFU is seen as a major platform where young talents of the region can strengthen their skill set. The Caribbean Football Union is an organization of 31 member island nations that focuses on the management and growth of the sport in the region. The tournament will host 23 teams from across the Caribbean region.
