Trinidad and Tobago: The police service department of the Twin Island Federation disclosed information about the seizure of illegal quantities of marijuana in the different localities of the Western Division. The results of illegal findings were observed during the crime eradication exercises conducted by the dedicated police teams on Wednesday, 31 July. Three individuals were also arrested in the process for illegal possession.

The crime eradication exercises were launched by the police officers dedicated to the region of the Western Division of Trinidad, which helped in the finding of marijuana. The action was taken while keeping the priority offenders on target on the basis of trusted intelligence intake. The assigned members form the K9 Unit along with the Western Division Task Force.

As per the information disclosed by the police authority in the case of marijuana seized in the Western Division, the locations of the Petit Valley and Diego Martin were focused during the operation. The first crime eradication exercise was launched by the involved team of police officers in the forested area along Fuller Street in Patna Village, Diego Martin.

It is mentioned that the police officers in the dedicated team arrived at the targeted scene, after which the forested area was searched. The information-led operation was successful after the lawmen discovered an illegal item at the place. The illegal item was a quantity of marijuana that was found in a pile of debris, where it was hidden.

Reportedly, the quantity of marijuana weighed around six hundred and ninety-seven grams, which was seized by the responding officers. The investigation in the particular case was continued by PC David. The other crime eradication exercise was targeted by the police department in the Petit Valley area. In the second exercise, the assigned officers conducted a stop and search exercise, which led to the finding of illegal possession.

During the stop and search exercise, the police officers on duty examined many vehicles, among which one was suspected of being involved in illegal activity. The action led to the finding of a vehicle, which was searched and revealed that the occupiers of the motor car were carrying a quantity of marijuana. It is said that a black plastic bag containing marijuana weighing around five hundred and fifty grams was recovered by the officers.

The illegal possession of marijuana was seized by the police officers on duty and the three individuals who were occupying the motor car at the time were also detained and taken to the West End Police Station. The interrogation is under the process and the investigation in the marijuana finding case is being conduced by the Western Division police under PC Anderson.
