New Grant, Trinidad: A brother and sister both from Mayaro were found dead with multiple chops at Nagee Road, Hindustan, New Grant. The incident reported on Wednesday is rumored to be a cause of family disputes.
The police authorities have identified the dead as 21-year-old Kervon Joey Keston Singh and her younger sister Shenelle Singh who was just 17.
The officials reported that they found Shenelle’s body lying dead along the roadway in a severely deteriorated condition. Shanelle was reported to have sustained multiple injuries, including deep chops on the left side of her face completely damaging her facial structure.
Kervon, on the other hand, was recovered almost ten feet away from her all covered with blood and his skin shattered with several wounds. The crime scene was all flooded with blood including clear trails of the female trying to escape from the suspect.
The incident has sparked interest among authorities to conduct a deep investigation in order to get to the criminal. With investigations already started, this is believed that the brutal killings were a result of a domestic dispute involving others in the case.
This is being said that another man was also involved in the killings, he is suspected to be the offender and authorities are working to get to him as soon as possible.
Police officials are also searching for the owner of the property where the crime occurred as he went missing following the crime. The police upon arrival at 7:00 pm stated that the man was already out and they also suspected him to be involved in the same.
The Southern Division Task Force, Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region Three, and Princes Town CID personnel, immediately responded to the crime scene. The officers from these different units are actively seeking the property owner as the investigation continues.
Following the incident, residents are in a moment of shock due to the uncertain events that unfolded that night. As the community mourns the loss of siblings they are urging the authorities for better security among their localities.
