Trinidad and Tobago: Another case of robbery in Trinidad and Tobago was highlighted in the locality of Petit Valley against two victims at their home. A businesswoman and her male relative were looted by a group of 5 bandits during the early dark on Tuesday, 27 August.
The unlawful act of robbery was recorded at nearly 03:00 am on the days when the victims were sleeping at their house in Petit Valley, Trinidad. The victims were also assaulted and stabbed during the robbery by a group of male suspects.
The injured victims of the Petit Valley robbery case are disclosed to be the owners of a Chinese restaurant situated along Ariapita Avenue in Woodbrook, Trinidad. The victims are identified as a 59-year-old businesswoman and a 37-year-old man.
As per the available details on the Petit Valley robbery case, the victims were sleeping in their house when the group of bandits entered the house. It is said that the bandits entered the private property from the second floor through a sliding door.
In the early hours of the day before dawn, the group of bandits entered the restaurant owner’s house, which interrupted the sleep of the victims. As the victims heard strange sounds from inside of their home, they went to check the situation.
Reportedly, the victims spotted five male suspects at the place who were handling lethal weapons like firearms and knives. The bandits covered their faces with dark masks to hide their faces in order to avoid their identification in police investigations.
As the victims observed that the unknown men entered their property with the intention of a criminal act, they started a struggle to save themselves and their belongings. In the confrontation, the suspect stabbed the male victim in his right thigh and left him wounded.
The victim woman was also beaten and thrown against a safe after physical assult, which injured her face on the left side. The group of bandits eventually tied the victims with the use of force to end their resistance.
Straight after, the group of bandits ransacked the house of Petit Valley in Trinidad to execute the robbery. It is mentioned that the male suspects took fifty-five thousand cash in Trinidad dollars, a DVR valued at three thousand Trinidad dollars, and an iPhone valued at around six thousand RNB.
After collecting all the items of their relevance, the group of five male bandits left the crime scene and fled in an unknown direction. The injured victims of the Petit Valley robbery somehow managed to raise a call for help and were assisted to the Port of Spain General Hospital, Trinidad.
The male victim was late admitted into the hospital to seek medical attention for his stabbing wound. The man received three stitches on right thigh for his injury. The police department was also invilve into the matter wh0o started probing after resgistering the complaint.
The victims were questioned, and their statements were recorded by the police department on the basis of which the investigation was directed. It is said that the stolen DVR was found outside the house inside a bag. The police are trying to find the culprits of the robbery in Petit Valley, Trinidad.
