Guyana: First Lady Arya Ali, through her Adopt-an-Orphanage initiative, is helping more than 200 children from 9 orphanages. The children are receiving extensive medical support at the Sherrif Hospital this week.

She shared the information through her official Facebook account while noting it as an initiative taken collaboratively along with the hospital and the Amarah Foundation.

Under this initiative, a total of 9 orphanages are receiving treatment this week and approximately 200 children have so far availed the facility. Arya Ali in response to this initiative noted that this medical care is important for the holistic development of the children.

Arya Ali further said, “I am thankful to the management and staff of Sheriff Hospital for the services they’re offering to our children.”

The orphans at the Sherriff Hospital also engaged in several different activities, providing them an opportunity to explore and have a good time with the doctors.

The children there got the chance to tour the hospital, conduct healthcare related tasks along with the staff, and were also sent on a ride over the ambulance.

Arya Ali informed of this healthcare camp on her social media and extended deep gratitude to the management and Amarah Foundation for this initiative.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to the management and hardworking staff of Sheriff Hospital and the team from Amarah Foundation for this kind gesture,” She noted.

Ali also noted that an initiative has also been led to provide houses to the orphans under the Amarah Foundation with gifts and hampers.

The citizens applaud the efforts of the authorities in the comment section under Arya Ali’s Facebook post.

Latasha Ghausy, a Facebook user, noted, “This is nice to see. In addition, it seems that Guyana is in a financial position to offer universal healthcare and should remove the two-tier (private) system. Break down barriers and promote inclusivity in healthcare! Everyone’s life, privileged or unprivileged, is equal!”

Another Facebook user, Bibi Zaaby Ali Torontoca, said, “Good job, Lady Arya Ali, in getting help for those children who are unfortunate not to have parents. Allah will bless you immensely.”

“Well done – keep up the good positive work, AA – you are beautiful inside and out!” Virginia Grant, another user mentioned.

Suhana Ally noted, “Good initiative, but we have public hospitals that need to be upgraded to offer the same services quickly, reliably, and functionally. All public hospitals across the nation should do this.”

Alia Mohammed, while extending her congratulations, stated, “Congratulations to the First Lady, Mrs Ali, for this wonderful initiative. Keep up the good work.”

These efforts by the government underscore their commitment to providing the residents with the best medical facilities in order to increase medical safety across the country.
