Roseau, Dominica: Gregor Nassief, a businessman and owner of Secret Bay, is set to join UWP and will contest the general elections in Dominica. For them, he will hold an internal meeting with UWP leader Dr Thomson Fontaine and Danny Lugay today at 6: 30 pm.

He also showcased his full support for Dr Thomson Fontaine and Danny Lugay.

“I would throw my support behind, um, b b and Mr. B. Hi, Danny,” said Nassief in his recent radio interview. Now, these reports have clearly exposed Nassief and his masterplan of criticising the current government, gaining public attention, creating political chaos and then getting political benefits in the election.

Earlier, Associates Times reached out to him seeking clarification on the matters he had raised in the public domain. However, he failed to provide any clear answers and did not respond to the questions. These developments have further raised questions about his tactics, which appear to be increasingly driven by the political agenda of the UWP.

The UWP, which has been accused of using such political tactics and controversies, has joined forces with Gregor Nassief to advance its political ambitions and gain an advantage in the upcoming polls.

Now, the UWP is also hosting an indoor meeting featuring Dr Thomson Fontaine, Danny Lugay and Gregor Nassief on September 2, 2026, and has extended an invitation to the public.

The meeting has further outlined Nassief’s political intentions, raising questions over his recent actions that were aimed at paving the way for his entry into politics and aligning himself with the UWP.

The entire gimmick of Nassirf and UWP has also been exposed by the public of Dominica as one of the users named Chales Vidal commented, “Look at the 3 men in face book photo, 2 have a blue tie and the in center don't have, there's a snake in the center biting the 2 . The voters are already spoken and voted in their minds and fingers.... Labour party.”

Now, people are raising questions whether Nassief’s recent public statements and criticisms were genuinely aimed at raising concerns in the public interest or were part of a larger political strategy to establish himself before making an entry into electoral politics.

With his latest appearance alongside senior UWP figures, the political narrative surrounding Gregor Nassief has taken a new turn. What initially appeared to be criticism of the government is now being closely linked to his possible political ambitions and his growing association with the UWP.

When it comes to accountability, Nassief has consistently remained silent and has failed to maintain transparency regarding his own financial dealings and other matters.
