Caribbean Cinemas Antigua closes until further notice amid health breach reports

Antigua: Caribbean Cinemas Antigua will remain closed until further notice, as announced by the cinema itself. It is due to their efforts in improving the conditions of the cinema and enhancing its quality for the audience.

“As we work to better our cinema, we will be closed until further notice,” the company said. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring and appreciate your understanding.”

The company did not disclose the reason for the closure or indicate when operations are expected to resume. The announcement comes amid separate reports of health breaches at the cinema’s canteen.

According to the sources, health officials ordered the canteen closed after identifying alleged cockroach and rodent infestations, unhygienic food-preparation areas and other sanitation concerns.

However, Caribbean Cinemas has not said whether its decision to close the entire cinema is connected to those reported breaches. The company advised customers to stay tuned for further updates.

One of the users added, “If they can’t properly operate a simple Cinemas yall think adding more to it gonna do what?? Make it easier to operate? This ain’t a bad idea tho but not in Antigua.”
