Two criminals held by Trinidad police in warrant execution exercise

Trinidad and Tobago: The police department apprehended two male suspects during the execution of a warrant exercise on Tuesday, 03 September. The operation was executed in the different localities of the Southern Division against several criminals for different crimes.

The two accused were also arrested for the different criminal acts by the Trinidad police. It is mentioned that the authorities focused on six major locations throughout the Southern Division. The operation was stretched in the morning hours of 03:00 am to 08:00 am.

Trinidad and Tobago Police Department shared information related to the arrests and operations in the Southern Division. The authority disclosed that the step was taken on the base of collected information against the criminals.

The intelligence-based action took the dedicated police officers to the localities of focus to execute the warrants to neutralize the crimes. The police officials stated that the act was also a step toward the recent illegal acts recorded in the division.

The accused arrested by the police department are identified by the authority and mentioned in the reports. Among two suspects, one is a 27-year-old man who lives in a locality along the Railway Line in St Madeline.

The St Madeline man was convicted in the case of shooting and wounding the victim. The act of shooting occurred on 18 May 2024. The man was held and taken into custody for wounding and shooting with intent.

The second man who was arrested by police is mentioned as a 38-year-old man, who is a resident of a settlement along Borde Narve Road, Cipero Road. The case on the man was to be involved in an act of burglary that took place on 6 March 2024.

Reportedly, the successful operation in the Southern Division of Trinidad was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Brian Soodeen, along with ASP Phillip and a team of dedicated police officers. The investigation in the related matters is on a lead.

People said, “well the work done by police is surely as work of appreciation…..but where we are standing right now we need more such kinda work… this is a drop of water in ocean, big gangs are out revolvin thir nd killin ppl.”

People also said, “what happned to rest of criminals???/ what abt them?? Like surly they didn went out like theat at six nomber of paces to catch jst two men…. catch them too realy soon. Still is grat work by our officers,, not qestioning their abilities.”
