T20 Caribbean Premier League 2024 ready to launch in Antigua

With the end of the Women’s CPL, cricket fans are ready to welcome the Men’s T20 Caribbean Premier League 2024 for its twelfth season. The new edition will be inaugurated at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Thursday, 29 August.
The details of the Caribbean Premier League 2024 are disclosed by the officials, in which a total of six franchise-based teams are going to participate. The teams for the upcoming season are Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings, and Trinbago Knight Riders.
The six participating teams are going to present challenges for 30 matches in the league stage. The T20 format tournament will also consist of 3 play-off matches and a final to decide the champions of 2024. The league will be played at seven venues across the Caribbean.
The venues added to the Caribbean Premier League 2024 are as follows:
Sir Vivian Richards Stadium – Home ground for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons
Kensington Oval Stadium – Home ground for Barbados Royals
Providence Stadium – Home ground for Guyana Amazon Warriors
Warner Park Sporting Complex – Home ground for Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots
Daren Sammy Cricket Ground – Home ground for Saint Lucia Kings
Brian Lara Cricket Academy and Queen’s Park Oval – Home ground for Trinbago Knight Riders
The opening match will be played between the teams of Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots to inaugurate the 2024 season. The Caribbean Premier League will be continued for 39 days from the day of opening.
There will be five doubleheader days when two matches will be hosted. The season will be concluded with the final match on Sunday, 06 October. Before the start of the face-offs, the owners of the six franchise-based teams picked the names in the squads.
The known names in the cricket world are going to participate in the T20 Caribbean Premier League 2024.

In the previous 11 seasons of the T20 Caribbean Premier League, the team of Trinbago Knight Riders is the most successful franchise of the tournament with 4 titles. The 2023 edition was won by the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who will start 2024 as defending champions.
