St. Kitts and Nevis: PM Drew connects with residents and labourers in community visit

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared a glimpse of his recent visits to Key’s Community, the community of Conaree, and meeting with labourers on his official Facebook page, highlighting his move towards staying connected.
The Prime Minister while sharing the pictures from his different visits highlighted the importance of contacting the locals and listening to their needs and suggestions.
PM Drew initially visited the Community of Conaree on 22nd August 2024, where he received a warm welcome from the residents. During his visit, the Prime Minister walked through the neighborhood and had engaging conversations with them including both adults and children.
The Prime Minister there listened to the concerns of the locals and took the suggestions of the constituents there. While in Conaree, PM Drew also visited different construction sites in the community and took an update on the ongoing construction projects.
In addition to his visit to Conaree, PM Drew also visited the Key’s Community where he also engaged with the residents, and took note of their experiences and any changes they wish to see in their community.
PM Drew also listened to their views and aims to consider them for future consideration in decision-making processes. This approach is likely to foster a strong bond within the government and the locals and will provide a base for the new policies to be implemented.
The weekend also featured a visit to local labours by PM Drew, where he cherished their hard work and commitment to contribute to the labor force of the country. The Prime Minister there initiated several activities including playing cards, Jenga and many other games.
The event also had a barbeque feast, where the Prime Minister and the labourers had their lunch together. This initiative further strengthened the bond between the government and the labourers.
PM Drew stated his experience to be enjoyable while noting that, “I had a very enjoyable time fraternizing with our esteemed men of labour. I look forward to more engagements and activities.”
Notably, these visits are a testament to the government’s aim towards being more accessible and staying connected with their citizens. These engagement activities among them will help create better strategies for their development and serving them the best.
