“I thank the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for extending these scholarships, the highest number that we have received thus far,” PM Drew noted.

The MOFA (Minister of Foreign Affairs) and ICDF (International Cooperation and Development Fund) scholarships provided at the Taiwan embassy in St Kitts and Nevis will provide the deserving students an opportunity to fullfil their dream of international studies with quality education.

Apart from Prime Minister Terrance Drew, Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley and Taiwan’s Ambassador Michael Lin were also present at the event to share their opinions and congratulate the awardees to encourage deeper into their studies.

The authorities in regard to this noted that, “As they head off to Taiwan, they are not just students—they are like ambassadors of St. Kitts and Nevis. Embrace this adventure with open hearts and minds, and continue to make us all proud.”

The Taiwanese embassy then extended their wishes to the students and hailed them good luck. The federation noted, “Good luck with your studies, and we know you’ll make the most of this incredible opportunity.”
