PM Drew Motivates DBSKN St. Peter’s FC for SKNFA Premier League Final

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew wished success to the Development Bank St Kitts and Nevis (DBSKN) St. Peter’s Football Club on Sunday for their Success in the game. The PM, who is on a personal leave, took his time out to motivate the team to achieve success.

The Prime minister addressed the players via zoom and while communicating, he extended his wishes to the team, while also urging the locals to go and watch the match. He then mentioned to cheer for Development Bank St Kitts and Nevis St. Peter’s Football Club at the event.

“I encourage the players to be their best on and off the field.” PM Drew said

The final match for the 2024 SKNFA (St Kitts and Nevis Football Association) National Bank Group of Companies Premier League has begun, and it is scheduled to take place in three days. The two teams competing for the title are S. L. Horsfords St. Paul’s United and Development Bank St. Peters Football Club.

The match on 11th August 2024 which took place at the Warner Parker Stadium was won by S. L. Horsfords St Pauls United. The team won the match with 3-0, however, the next two matches are set to take place on 14th August 2024 and 18th August 2024. Both the match will also be played at the same venue that is Warner Park Stadium.

Notably, the two teams signed a partnership early in March this year. This announcement was made public by Drew himself and marked an achievement for the club. PM Drew, while addressing this partnership, stated that,

“The collaboration between Development Bank St. Kitts & Nevis and the St. Peters Football Club is a huge achievement for St Kitts and Nevis as it marks a new beginning and will play a critical role in providing the much-needed support and resources to the club.”

This is to be noted that the agreement signing event was much special to St Peter’s Football Club as the Development Bank of St Kitts and Nevis granted a cheque of $30,000. While noting this investment, PM Drew mentioned that the Development bank has always stood strong and provided support for the development of sports community.
