Jamaica: The law protection officers dedicated to the Saint Catherine parish of the island nation are working on a hacking case that took place in the locality of Portmore. The case related to the cyber crime was observed against a female victim in which a male suspect was held by the police department. The man was charged by the authorities for his committed offence on Tuesday, 06 August.

The suspect in the case of hacking and related offences in Portmore, Jamaica, is identified by the police authority and mentioned in the case report. The identity of the accused individual is disclosed as a 27-year-old man, known by his name in the official documents, Richard Simpson. Richard Simpson is mentioned as a resident of a Portmore Villa address, who is a higgler by his profession.

The allegations laid on the accused man in the Portmore hacking case are of allegedly hacking into the personal account of a woman who became a victim of the unlawful act. It is said that the man took access to the social media account of the victim without her permission and posted some inappropriate content, which led the woman to privacy and personal issues.

As per the available details of the social media hacking case of Portmore, the suspect man and the victim woman knew each other and were also communicating before the crime took place. It is disclosed by the police department that before the unethical hacking, both involved sides had a conversation in the hours from 12:30 am to 06:00 am. It is understood that both were involved in a dispute.

It is mentioned that after the woman and man got involved in a verbal altercation, the suspect decided to take illegal action against the lady. The accused allegedly shared inappropriate pictures and videos of the lady on the social space by hacking into her personal account. The woman later realised that she had become a victim of cyber crime.

Subsequently, the report was made to the police department by the victim lady, which explained the entire situation of hacking of her personal account on social media. The police officers took action and identified Richard Simpson as a suspect, after which he was arrested and charged. The accused was charged with the use of a computer for malicious communication and other offences with hacking.
