The Max 60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024 entered on the second day of its inaugural season on Monday, 19 August. Three matches of ten over format were scheduled on the grounds of the Cayman Islands, out of which one match was abandoned.
The Max 60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League of ten overs, an unofficial format, is being played in the nation of the Cayman Islands. The five franchise-based teams are part of Season 1 of the league, which is hosted by the Cayman Islands Cricket Board.
The matches are being played in the Jimmy Powell Oval stadium, which is situated in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. The game that was abandoned on the day was Match 5 of the league between the teams of Boca Raton Trailblazers and Grand Cayman Jaguars.
The game was called abandoned due to unfavorable circumstances, after which the matchpoints were distributed between both sides equally. The match was started without any interruption, and the first inning was also completed.
The Boca Raton Trailblazers versus Grand Cayman Jaguars match was scheduled at 01:15 pm. The toss was won by the team of Boca Raton Trailblazers, who decided to bat first. The match started, and the batting team played a complete ten overs and scored 107 runs for a loss of 5 wickets.
The target of 108 was set but the second inning was called off by the officials after a wait. The batsmen of Grand Cayman Jaguars didn’t get any chance to hit the pitch. While batting, the capital, David Warner, and Jack Wood, scored impressive scores for the team, which were 33 of 18 balls and 40 of 17 balls, respectively.

The other two matches scheduled for the second day of Max 60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024 were completed without any issues and ended with proper results. The first match of the day was between the teams of New York Strikers and Miami Lions at 11:00 am.

This was Match 3 of the league, which also became the lowest-scoring match of the tournament till now. The toss was won by the New York Strikers team, which invited the Miami Lions batsmen to put scores on board for chasing.
The team of Miami Lions, came for batting on the pitch and finished the inning with a score of 52 runs by losing all 10 wickets. The team was sent into the dressing room in 9 overs with one over remaining. The target of 53 was chased by New York Strikers in 8.1 overs.
None of the batsmen from Miami Lions was able to reach the two-digit score except Benjamin Manenti. Benjamin Manenti came at seventh dawn and scored 14 runs in 8 balls with 1 four and 1 six. For New York Strikers, Isuru Udana took three wickets in his two over by giving just six runs.
The New York Strikers batsmen scored 57 runs for a loss of 5 wickets. While chasing, Anderson Phillip presented some challenge to the victors by taking two wickets in his two overs by giving eight runs. This was also the only match till now where any team lost all the wickets and failed to play 10 overs.
Match 6 of the Max 60 Caribbean T10 Cricket League 2024 and the third of the day was scheduled at 03:30 pm. The match was between the teams of the Caribbean Tigers and Miami Lions. This was the second match for the team of Miami Lions on the same day.

The toss was won by the side of Miami Lions, who decided to bowl first and chase the target in the second inning. While batting first, players of the Caribbean Tigers set the target of 139 for the chasing side. The team made 138 runs in 10 overs by losing 4 wickets.
Multiple attention-grabber performances were seen in the inning by batsmen of Caribbean Tigers. The opening batsman, Josh Brown, made 44 runs in 20 balls after the early departure of Kobe Herft. Josh Brown hit 3 fours and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 220.
Along with him, Chris Lynn scored 37 runs in just 15 balls with the help of 1 four and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 246.7. Nick Hobson and Ashley Nurse also gave some striking performances on the field. Nick Hobson scored 28 runs in 8 balls, while Ashley Nurse played 5 balls and scored 15 runs at the last.
While chasing the target of 139 runs in 60 balls, the batsmen of Miami Lions got limited to 100 runs after losing 7 wickets. Only Corey Anderson managed to present a challenge to the victors by scoring 43 runs in just 19 balls. He collected 2 fours and 4 sixes with a strike rate of 226.3.
