Accused man in Tabaquite murder case appears in high court
Police collected evidence in murder case of Tabaquite, which helped in laying charges against the accused to present him in court.

Trinidad and Tobago: The law enforcement department collected evidence in a matter of murder by stabbing in the locality of Tabaquite, which helped in laying charges against the accused to present him in court. The case is against a 39-year-old male suspect who was arrested and charged, after which he was taken in front of the Master of the High Court on Monday, 05 August, for trial. The information in relation to the case was shared by the police service authority of the Twin Island Federation.
The man in his late thirties, who is accused in the case of murder in Tabaquite, is identified by the police authority who is mentioned in the case report. The suspect of the killing is mentioned as a local resident of the town of Trinidad, whose name in the documents is disclosed as Carmichael Pino. Carmichael Pino is a labourer in the field of his occupation.
The victim man who was killed by the suspect on the day was also identified by the investigation team, who mentioned the deceased by his official name, Julien Halls. Julien Halls is disclosed as a 41-year-old man, who is a chemical mixer by profession and works at the Water and Sewerage Authority. Julien Halls is also a local resident of the Tabaquite town, where he was attacked and killed.
As per the information shared by the police authority about the Tabaquite murder case, the serious criminal act was executed against the victim on Sunday, 21 July. The fatal incident was recorded in the district when the victim man was at a bar in the locality in the company of his friend. It is said that the suspect was also at the place at the time, and the crime took place after a dispute which occurred between the two men.
It is mentioned that the dispute started at the scene after the victim and suspect got involved in an argument, which eventually turned into a physical confrontation. The minor situation turned into a serious offence when the suspected man allegedly got armed with a knife which he used to attack the victim. The victim, Julien Halls, was stabbed by the suspect, Carmichael Pino, in the chest, which eventually led to his death.
Subsequently, the incident was reported to the police department, and the injured man was helped to reach the San Fernando General Hospital under medical operation. In the hospital, the victim was assisted with treatment but was pronounced dead officially by the doctor afterwards. The team of police officers arrived at the bar in the town after which the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Reportedly, the suspect surrendered himself to the responding police officers on their arrival at the site. The charge of the incident was taken by the serving officers from the Gran Couva Police Station who started an investigation into the case and registered the murder in Tabaquite. The Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region Three also got involved in the probe, after which the suspect was charged and scheduled for an appearance before Master Cazabon in the North A Criminal Court.
