Rio Claro murder case under investigation by police

Trinidad and Tobago: Another case of murder by shooting is under the investigation process by the police department, which took place in the locality of Rio Claro. The crime is reported against a male victim who lost his life in a fatal act on the night of Saturday, 03 August, around 10:30 pm. The man was killed by a suspect whom the victim went to collect money on the day.

The victim who was reported dead in the case of murder by shooting in Rio Claro is identified by the investigation police team, who is mentioned in the police reports as a 31-year-old man. The dead man was known among the people by his name, Carlos Modeste, which is as per the documents. Carlos Modeste was a fabricator of his occupation who lives in the locality of Princes Town, Trinidad.

As per the available report on the Rio Claro case of murder by shooting, the victim man was with a female companion at the time when he was gunned down by the armed suspect. It is said that the man was present in the town of Rio Claro in order to collect his money from the suspect. The victim arrived at Pinder Trace along Dades Road to meet the suspect on the day when he was fatally attacked.

It is mentioned that the suspect was hunting in the area at the time when the victim arrived at the place with her female company. According to the recorded statement, the victim man got out of his car and went to meet the suspect, the suspect emerged out of the bushy area and was carrying a shotgun in his hand at the time of the meeting.

Reportedly, the meeting between both men went on for nearly fifteen minutes, after which the victim was about to leave the place. It is said that as the victim turned back to approach his motor car, he was unexpectedly shot by the suspect using the same shotgun in his hand. The victim was gunned down with a shot in his head, which recently took his life and killed him right on the spot.

The woman in the company of the victim, who was observing the entire act from a distance, got fearful after observing the sudden shooting attack on the victim by the suspect. It is known that the woman hid herself in the bushes around the place to stay protected. The woman waited to come out till she heard the sound of the motor vehicle leaving the car scene.

After the suspect left the place of murder in Rio Claro, the lady came out and ran through a field to find help. Subsequently, the police department was alerted about the fatal act in the region, in response to which the police officers took action and arrived at the mentioned locality. The crime scene was seized, and the investigating officers started probing the matter after taking control of the dead body.
