Trinidad and Tobago: The police department of Western Division held five individuals under accusation of robbery in the locality of Saint James. The robbery was recorded in a restaurant in the district when the male suspects looted the valuables and quantity of cash from the place on Tuesday, 06 August.

The suspects were held by the police on the same day within some hours under a manhunt operation in the division.

The information about the arrest of the five Saint James robbery suspects was shared by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Services Department on Thursday, 08 August. The information was shared with the basic details of the case after the early investigation.

It is mentioned in the details that the accused of the Saint James robbery case were held by the authorities in a manhunt exercise. The exercise was executed on the same day after the getting complaint in relation to the crime, which was stretched from 03:30 am to 06:00 am on the day.

The operation was conducted by dedicated teams of officers from the Western Division Task Force, the Four Roads Criminal Investigations Department, and Saint James Police Station. The different localities of the Western Division of Trinidad were targeted in the anti-crime mission.

As per the reports on the Saint James robbery case, the police units around the division got alerted with the information of criminal activity in the region. It was understood that a group of five individuals escaped the site of the restaurant after committing offences of burglary, robbery, and violence in the district.

It is said that the action was taken by the police department, and the officers made their way to the crime scene, where the proceedings were initiated. The operation was launched subsequently, after which led to the arrest of five men who were found involved in the unlawful act.

All five male suspects were taken to the police station under custody, among whom the teenage offender was also included. The man facing an allegation of robbery in the restaurant of Saint James is mentioned of the age category between 18 to 28. All culprits are identified as residents of Beetham Gardens and Laventille districts in Trinidad.

Reportedly, the items which were looted by the five bandits were successfully recovered by the investigating officers. The valuables were found in the possession of the accused men. Further legal proceedings are active in the case while the investigation in relation to the crime is also active. More updates will be provided by the authorities as the case progresses.
