Jasmine Schofield Shines at PanAm Championship with Three Medals, Sets New National Record

Dominica: The Olympic Swimmer, Jasmine Schofield continues to make her presence felt by securing 3 medals and setting new records at the PanAm age group swimming championship in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Schofield won a silver medal in the Women’s 100m freestyle and another silver medal in the Women’s 50m butterfly race. She also won a bronze medal in the Women’s 50m freestyle at the event.
During the championship, she also managed to set a new personal best and a national record of 29.67 in the 50m freestyle swimming championship.
The daughter of renowned Dominican swimmer Francillia Agar is following in the footsteps of her mom. Schofield became the first swimmer since 2000 after her mom to represent her nation on the international stage in Paris.
She showcased a great performance at the Olympics this year, where she set a new national record with 29.91 seconds, however, she broke her own record again at the PanAm age group games.
Jasmine’s dedication towards her sport depicts her enthusiasm to perform best for his country and make all of them proud, including her mother. Her consistent improvements every day with every new championship showcases her journey toward success.
With these improvements, Schofield aims to conquer the next Olympics to bring another medal for her nation. During an interview at the recent Paris Olympics, the athlete stated, “I was a bit nervous as everyone was watching me, but I was excited at the same time to give my best at the event.”
The Athlete has notably also got a chance to get train for a whole year at Antibes, France over a world Aquatics Scholarship. This training is meant to provide the athlete with invaluable experience and deep insights to perform best on international platforms.
She is being highly applauded and supported by Dominicans all over social media as many are addressing her to learn and gain better insights to perform better in your sports.
