Contour Airlines launches twice-weekly nonstop Trinidad-Dominica service

Dominica: Contour Airlines has launched a new twice-weekly nonstop service between Trinidad and Dominica, providing an additional regional air link ahead of the island’s World Creole Music Festival.

The service connects Piarco International Airport in Trinidad with Douglas-Charles Airport in Dominica, with flights from Trinidad to Dominica operating on Tuesdays and Fridays. Return flights from Dominica to Trinidad operate on Mondays and Thursdays.

This has opened a crucial gateway to The Nature Island. This is another milestone for Dominica during the World Creole Music Festival. The festival is taking place from October 23-25, 2026 in Dominica. The new service will give travellers a more convenient way to travel between Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago. Travellers shall have access to multiple places, thus strengthening Dominica’s presence in the Caribbean region and beyond. For Dominica, this is a part of ‘regional integration’.

Families can travel for recreational, educational purposes. The move will also strengthen Trinidad and Tobago’s position as a global aviation hub. The new service is expected to improve travel between the two islands. The timing of the service is very essential as Dominica is preparing itself to welcome visitors for the World Creole Music Festival.

Contour Airlines now connects Dominica with Trinidad, Puerto Rico and Saint Thomas, giving people more options and flexibility while travelling. Minister for Tourism Denise Charles Pemberton said the benefits are not restricted to Trinidad and Dominica alone, but extend to other Caribbean regions. This will extend Dominica’s links beyond the Caribbean region. It will immensely benefit hotels, restaurants, taxi operators, tour guides, local vendors etc.

The minister also claimed that there will be greater opportunities for trade, investments and economic activity between Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago. All this is a part of the Government's efforts and strategy to improve access and connectivity and promote tourism and growth.

The Minister also appreciated Contour Airlines and other people involved in establishing the services, and also urged the citizens of both countries to utilise these services and support the route. The minister also invited people from Trinidad and Tobago to visit Dominica, especially during the upcoming World Creole Festival.
