Kingston police probing case shooting on bus, 5 affected

Jamaica: The action is taken by the police department in answer to an open shooting attack by unknown assailants in the locality of Kingston, Saint Andrew, on Studio One Boulevard. The attack was targeted on a bus present along the route on the last evening around 05:00 pm. The targeted bus was occupied with passengers at the time of the attack, in which five individuals were affected.

It is disclosed that in the case of the open shooting attack in Kingston, Jamaica, one man lost his life who was among the five injured victims. Meanwhile, the other injured victims of the attack were taken to the hospital and were admitted to get treatment for their wounds from gunshots. It is also understood that one child was also part of the group who got wounded in the criminal attack.

As per the collected information on the Kingston shooting case, the fatal attack took place on the day when the bus filled with passengers arrived at the locality along Studio One Boulevard. The attack was executed by a group of assailants who were armed with lethal weapons. The armed assailants made their way to the site when the bus arrived, and they launched open firing by pointing their guns in the direction of the bus.

The time was noted at nearly 05:00 pm when the incident was observed at a public place, which left passengers on the bus injured, including a child. The group of armed assailants instantly left the shooting space. As the open firing came to rest, it was observed that five passengers were wounded with gunshots and were bleeding.

Immediately, the police authority of Kingston was contacted by the people at the place, and the entire situation of open shooting was explained. The police officers of the regional department took charge in response to the complaint and made their way to the ground. The responding officers gridlocked the area after arriving at the crime scene.

It was mentioned that the responding police team found one man lifeless at the scene who was later pronounced officially dead after the examination. The other injured individuals were helped to reach the hospital under medical observation, where they were examined by a doctor and admitted for treatment, including a wounded child. The investigation into the unlawful incident is active.
