Jaycees Queen Show concludes bringing Shan Lucien as the winner

The Jaycees Queen Show 2024 has come to an end leaving Saint Lucia’s, Shan-Aria Maria Lucien as the winner of the pageant. This year’s Jaycees Queen show was scheduled under the theme ‘Beauty Unbroken Pageant’ in Antigua and Barbuda on Wednesday.

Shan Lucien, the winner of the 2024 Jaycees Queen Show brought the crown to Saint Lucia after 39 years. Desrie Markham of Antigua and Barbuda secured 2nd position, whereas Amonai Francis of Grenada came out to be 3rd. This year’s pageant competition featured 11 other contestants who competed for the crown of Miss Jaycees 2024.

Lucien during the Jaycees Queen Show event showcased a deep enthusiasm and active participation through her grace which made her grab several other titles. She won the title for Most True to Theme, Best Talent, Best Modelling Evening Wear and Best Evening Wear.

The evening gown section was the major highlight of the event as Lucien walked the ramp wearing a beautiful dress designed considering the typical Saint Lucian fashion. Lucien is not just an epitome of beauty, but a talented soul as she is a passionate musician and teacher. She has also been crowned as the Carnival Queen of Saint Lucia 2024.

Shan Lucien during her interview stated that this platform has provided her with an opportunity to showcase her passion for music and she further stated that she is driven to showcase the creative experience, which moulded her into a confident and resilient woman.

As the event came to an end, the organisers stated that the event was a beautiful showcase of Caribbean beauty, intelligence, and talent. “These ladies truly embodied the spirit of “Beauty Unbroken” and have made their nations proud,” they added.

Notably, apart from Shan Lucien of Saint Lucia, several other participated in the Jaycees Queen Show including Adacia Adonis (British Virgin Islands), Kyanna Dyer (Dominica), Tineka Francois (Trinidad & Tobago), Desrie Markham (Antigua & Barbuda), Kaena Rangassamy (Guadeloupe), Majestic Estrada-Petersen (U.S. Virgin Islands), Kayla King (Guyana), Estephanie Charles (Haiti), Emonai Crosse (St. Kitts & Nevis) and Amonai Francis (Grenada).
