He then also emphasized the role of private sector businesses, government technocrats, and other organizations across the community in the success of these efforts.
PM Drew noted the challenges that the federation faces due to rising violence and crime while indicating them as not an issue of law enforcement solely. He marked this as a public health crisis that affects everyone across the community.
Prime Minister further mentioned, “ We should adopt a societal approach to combat these issues, and it will start with ensuring that every voice is heard in the planning process. It is not just a government initiative, but a national effort, and we must all be part of the solution.”
Notably, the meeting on the 23rd will provide the stage for stakeholders and community members to discuss their issues and extend their suggestions and insights. These insights will play a vital role in the overall development of the system and in initiating future measures.
The 90-day-long campaign and consultation will include a series of several different events and initiatives. These actions are designed in order to tackle violence and to promote long-term security among the federation.
Additionally, PM Drew also addressed the nation in order to combat the rising crime where he discussed the measures which have been planned or have already been taken to tackle the issue in the country.
