The middle distance runner of Dominica, Dennick Luke, made a new national record in the Men’s 800 meter event at the ongoing Paris Summer Olympics Games 2024.
This huge achievement by the athlete is being hailed by leaders and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica, with people congratulating him and wishing his all the best for future.
In spite of making a new record, the athlete’s dreams of making it to the semi finals of the Men’s 800 meter event at the international games were broken as he came up short in his attempt to qualify on Thursday morning.

Then on Thursday, he got another chance as he participated in the Repechage. The Dominican athlete started the race strong and was with the rest of the runner after the first 400 meters but was later pulled away and finished in a time of 1 minute 46.81 seconds.

We wish Dennick, swimmers, Jasmine Schofield and Warren Lawrence, and Olympic Champion Thea Lafond ongoing success in their careers.”
