All seven contestants including the winners were honoured with the award and received their respective cash prizes. The Pageant competition which was held in Grenada early last month featured Sashelle Alves as the reigning queen of the season.

Sashelle Alves, who is also Miss Carriacou and Petite Martinique was followed by Miss St Andrew’s Kenya Alexander and Miss St David’s Heidi Charles, who were able to fetch 1st and 2nd Runner up positions.

Upon their successive wins, the beauties were due with their cash prizes, which they received recently along with other fellow participants.

Sachelle Alves received a cash prize of $15,000 and also received a two-night stay at True Blue Bay
Boutique Resort. Kenya Alexander on the other hand received $12,000 and Heidi Charles received a prize of $10,000. Other participants were also offered cash prizes to honour their presence.

The CEO of Spice Mas was also present at the ceremony and told the contestants that they were more than their positions. He further stated that. “If you think of the journey that you made over those months, I am sure you would realize that those points equate to very little to nothing.”

True Blue Bay offered the winner a two-night stay at their resort and was the sponsor of the event too. Kevin Cooper, representative of the resort stated that they are proud to be the sponsors of the event.

“True Blue Bay is a big fan of Carnival, a big fan of Spice Mas Pageant. Congratulations to you all. As we’ve already said, you’re all winners and you should be very proud to represent your parish and Grenada, Petit Martinique, and Carriacou. So, well done,” Kevin Cooper stated.

Notably, the pageant competition was worth remembering as Sashelle showcased an unbeatable performance. With her charm, she took home the titles of Best Interview, Best in Evening Wear, and People’s Choice award apart from the reigning title.

Upon her victory, Sachelle stood out to be proud of her community as she was the first to represent Carriacou and Petite Martinique on the stage.

She was also congratulated by the Prime Minister of the island nation, Dickon Mitchell as he stated, “We are celebrating with you Sashelle and we look forward to your continued success and contribution to Grenada’s heritage and pageantry.”
