Silver Airways has announced to cancel all of their flights to and from South Bimini Airport till August 2, 2024. The airline has asked for the public’s cooperation and is working to resume service as soon as possible to ensure the safety of passengers.
The cancellations stem from a serious issue at South Bimini Airport. Reportedly, The airport’s fire and rescue vehicles have been out of service since July 24, 2024, resulting in the suspension of flight operations. Silver Airways reports that despite continued requests for updates and solutions, the airport has not resolved this security issue, making it impossible to operate flights without jeopardizing passenger safety and hence they cancels it.
Silver Airways apologized for the disruption, saying: “We regret to inform you that all flights to and from South Bimini Airport are scheduled to be cancelled until August 2, 2024.” The airline stressed its commitment to helping affected passengers rebook and make other arrangements to minimize the impact of the cancellations.
