China: The World Health Organization accused the government of China of manipulating the data related to the COVID cases. It stated that the authorities in the country made fun of the seriousness of the pandemic, which is unacceptable.

According to the reports, the senior WHO official stated that the country had not presented a genuine picture of the COVID pandemic situation as there is distortion in the number of hospitalizations and deaths from the coronavirus.

Emergencies Director of WHO Mike Ryan accused the government of not showing a true image of the disease in China and stated that the authorities of the country showed a lack of seriousness towards the surge in deaths due to the pandemic, which revealed their narrow mindset.

As per the reports, the ground reality has not been showing resemblance with the reality given by the government on the paper, which marked that there is big manipulation. The authorities have claimed five or fewer deaths in a day, but the scenario indicated that the number is overwhelmed.

According to the reports, WHO defined that the deaths related to the COVID pandemic are those resulting from a clinically compatible illness in a patient with a probable or confirmed infection when no other unrelated cause of death is involved.

According to the reports, this is quite obvious that the rest of the world is not taking the claims of the Chinese authorities at face value. They have also put strict travel restrictions on people travelling into different countries from China, such as the suspension of flights and other requirements related to COVID-19.

The USA, the U.K., several other European countries, among them Germany, France and Sweden, and Australia, Canada, Japan, India and South Korea, have imposed tough COVID measures on travellers from China.

Israel, Malaysia, Morocco, Qatar, and Taiwan are also among the countries that have imposed restrictions on travellers from China.
