A tropical wave continues to bring showers and isolated thunderstorms to the northern islands. Trade wind surge causing some showers in the rest of the Windwards down to Trinidad where ITCZ is also active.

In Guyana a surface trough within the ITCZ will keep showers and isolated thunderstorms and will keep showery periods in Trinidad late Thursday to Friday. Few can be briefly heavy.

Windwards drying out tonight and a few showers overnight in the Leewards but drying out by morning with dry Saharan air layer quickly coming through.

The next tropical wave will reach Guianas late Thursday and reach Guyana Friday. There will be a bit of upper trough enhancement as it enters the Windwards and Trinidad area Saturday. ITCZ moisture will also be lifted over there. Some areas of heavy showers and periods of rain possible.

Fair and hazy, except for partly cloudy periods with some isolated showers in confined areas. There is a low to medium chance some of these showers could become heavy and or thundery near coastal areas of Trinidad. Nighttime: Mostly fair and hazy but for some showery intervals.

Partly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunder storms improving as the day progresses.

July to September 2023 rainfall totals are likely to be near normal over most of Trinidad and Tobago. Larger wetter than usual pockets are likely to occur over southern, central and northern Trinidad and northeastern and southwestern ends of Tobago.

Few drier-than-usual pockets are likely to occur over central and eastern Trinidad and northwestern Tobago.

There is a medium chance (40% to 60%) for the development of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms during this period. Winds mostly from the east-southeast during the morning, changing to northeast from afternoon.

A low level trough associated with a perturbation (in this case meaning: a change in the normal or regular path) in the ITCZ is expected to produce partly cloudy conditions interrupting some sunshine, becoming cloudy during the late morning to early
