Yellow Hill – Friday, 29 September 2022 – Tropical Disturbance 1 in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic has been given a low chance of Formation in 48 hours and a medium probability in 5 days. At this time, the system is not an immediate threat to Montserrat, and there are no alerts, watches or warnings in effect for the island. The Disaster Management Coordination Agency, DMCA is monitoring the Tropical Atlantic.
In its 2PM Tropical Outlook, the National Hurricane Centre states that Tropical Disturbance 1 is located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic. Gradual development of this system and a tropical depression could form early next week as the system moves westward to west-northwestward over the eastern tropical Atlantic. The system has a 10% chance of formation in the next two days and, a 60% chance of development in the next five days.
