Caribbean: Montserrat Disaster Management Coordination Agency-DMCA has shared an update on the weather conditions that are or are expected to prevail in the Eastern Caribbean region till July 3, 2022.
As per the agency, due to the passage of the tropical wave, the region might witness cloudy skies with occasional showers and hazardous.
Weather: Moisture and instability in association with the passage of a tropical wave, will continue to maintain cloudy conditions with occasional showers across the region. Meanwhile, seas will remain hazardous across the region.
Weather conditions over the Virgin and Leeward Islands will be partly cloudy to cloudy with with periods of showers and possible few thunderstorms.
Weather conditions over the Windward Islands will be cloudy with periods of showers. few thunderstorms could also develop across some of the islands.
Puerto Rico will be partly cloudy to cloudy with occasional showers and a few isolated thunderstorms.
Winds: East to east-southeast 12 to 24 mph or 19 to 39 km/h and gusting to 34 mph or 56 km/h.
Seas: 1.8 to 3.1 metres or 6 to 10 feet.
