Please take all necessary precautions to safeguard life and property. It’s only June and already, two potential weather developments are being closely monitored.

He emphasized that it is necessary to remain cautious, esepcially in the month of June, and the weather is closely monitored in the country.

Moisture trailing a tropical wave which is interacting with an upper-level trough will continue to affect the area during the morning. The country could witness increased cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms during the morning period. There will also be an improved condition expected from the afternoon. The government of Dominica also advised the people residing in the areas that are prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks to remain cautious. 

Further, the country could also witness other tropical waves located over the central tropical Atlantic and there will be a high chance of development and is expected to affect the southern portion of the island chain on June 28, 2022, Tuesday. 

The government advised the residents to keep in touch wth the weather update and monitor the progress of this wave. 

Further, there will be moderate expectations during the next 24 hours with waves peaking at 8.0ft in eastern coastal waters. There will be a small craft advisory in place above normal swells and they have to remain cautious during the moderate seas.
