“We will build state-of-the-art Data Centre to bring big business, “says PM Harris

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has outlined various initiatives taken by the government of the Federation in order to promote big business. He also shared an update on the working of the government towards the digital economy of St Kitts and Nevis. 

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris has outlined various initiatives taken by the government of the Federation in order to promote big business. He also shared an update on the working of the government towards the digital economy of St Kitts and Nevis. 

While stating the working of the government, PM Harris noted that they will build a’ state-of-the-art’ Date center to bring big business. He said, “We will continue the build-out of the digital economy of St Kitts and Nevis, incentivizing Wi-Fi support in every home at the most affordable rate. We do this to allow our people to work from home.”

He also emphasized that with internet connectivity being the most popular communication model worldwide, the government is aware of the advantages of the Cable company with its huge fiber-optic network. This properly utilized will bring benefit to St Kitts and Nevis. 

“Beyond that, we will target high-tech industries from St Kitts and Nevis and build out a state-of-the-art data centre here in St Kitts and Nevis,” underscored PM Harris. 

He also issued a statement on the Unified effort needed to save CIP. 

PM Harris said that he wants to say the consequences of the region will go far beyond the member states participating. It is in one’s self-interest and coordination. 

“There is an increasingly hostile climate, and we have to merge and pool our resources to respond early and on time, and to respond in ways that differentiate the quality of our programme, and the contribution of our programme to our way of life,” PM Harris added.
