Europe: Elena Kountoura- a Member of the European Parliament (MEP), called for immediate actions to stop violence against women on the occasion of World Day against Violence. She stated, “We put a STOP to VIOLENCE Against Women.”

On the occasion of November 25, World Day Against Violence Against Women, the Equality Committee of N. H. E. SYRIZA-PS of Magnesia and SYRIZA Youth of Magnesia organized an event related to violence against women, Saturday, November 19 at 19:00 at the Saratsi Amphitheater of the University of Thessaly.

Earlier, she gave a message of support to the Cuban people for the immediate lifting of the embargo in the context of today’s LEFT events and actions at the European Parliament, where she participated.

On her initiative, a party meeting was held in Brussels of Greek MEPs with members of the Union of Greek National Experts EL-CLENAD, aiming to establish close and systematic cooperation for the benefit of Greece let’s.

MEP Elena Kountoura cited, “Tourism is estimated to account for 10% of global carbon emissions over the next twenty years, and therefore a collective action plan is required to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint.”

She was the guest speaker at the MED Sustainable Tourism Community special event in the context of the United Nations Climate Change COP27 in Egypt.

On Day 2 of ITIC’s Global Tourism Investment Summit 2022 forum under WTMLDN discussing incentives to attract investment in the tourism sector and implementation of favourable policies to build sustainable destinations.

MEP Elena Kountoura stated that she was a guest Speaker at ITIC’s Global Tourism Investment Summit London 2022 in the context of the WTMLDN World Tourism Expo.

On the 1st day of the forum, she discussed emerging sustainability and recovery trends in travel and tourism globally.

She attended WTMLDN World Tourism Expo with the Former UNWTO Secretary-General and ITIC President, Dr. Taleb Rifai, ITIC Director and WTTC ambassador Gerald Lawless, former Bulgarian Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova and Jamaica Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett.

MEP Kountoura also held a meeting with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO Zurab Pololikashvili, at the WTMLDN 2022 World Tourism Expo in London.
